Invisalign® Invisible Teeth Straightening in Greensboro

invisalign qr code app If you are an adult with tooth overcrowding, gaps between teeth, or bite problems, the nearly invisible Invisalign system may be a great solution. Invisalign consists of a series of custom-made aligner trays that you wear over your natural teeth. They gradually shift your teeth into the ideal location–no metal brackets, and no wires to tighten. You can remove the aligners to eat and brush your teeth, so you don't have to avoid any foods (like apples, popcorn or gum) and you can maintain optimal dental hygiene.

As an authorized and specially trained Invisalign provider, Dr. Scott Welch will assess your teeth to determine if you are a good candidate for Invisalign or if he needs to refer you to an orthodontist. If Invisalign is right for you, he will develop a personalized treatment plan for you based on the shape, size, and movement of your teeth. Most adults need to wear their Invisalign aligner trays for about a year, advancing to a new set of aligners approximately every two weeks.

Our patients say the biggest benefits of Invisalign versus traditional metal braces are:
  • They're practically invisible?most people won't even notice you?re wearing them.
  • They're comfortable?no scratchy wires or elastic bands.
  • You can remove them to eat or brush/floss–no worry about food particles getting stuck or damaging your aligner trays.
  • They really get results!

    After Care Information

    Keeping Invisalign Trays Clean
First of all, it's important never to drink or eat anything other than water while wearing your alignment trays – they can get stained, which makes them unsightly; trap food particles, sugar, or other tooth decay-causing substances underneath; or breed bacteria, which make for bad breath.

Next, always rinse your aligners when you remove them. At least once a day, brush your aligners gently with a clear, antibacterial soft soap – don't use colored soap, which may stain your aligners. If you use a non-whitening toothpaste, you can also brush them gently with a pea-sized amount of toothpaste. Other options for cleaning and sanitizing Invisalign trays include: soaking them with denture cleaner, using Retainer Brite, or cleaning with the Invisalign brand cleaning crystal system.

Wear Invisalign Regularly to Get Results
To get results, you must wear your trays at least 22 hours each day. That allows you to remove them for meals, snacks, and cleaning. Results you get are 100% dependent on how diligent you are about wearing your trays, getting checkups with us, and switching to the next set of trays in a timely manner.
